Annual General MeetingBERA's annual general meeting will be held on Tuesday 14 May 2013, in Grove Academy (staff room) at 7.00pm. All those who attended/are attending classes during session 2012/13 are automatically members of BERA and are invited to attend. The date will be announced in the local press. It is your chance to make known your views on BERA classes. The meeting will be followed by refreshments. INSPECTION REPORT Community learning and development (CLD) partners within the area of Grove Academy were inspected by Education Scotland. The wide variety of courses organised by BERA was acknowledged and the service was described as being of high quality. INFORMATION ON SOME NEW CLASSES LEARN TO PLAY THE GUITAR! All levels and all types of music catered for in this class. Come along to enrolment and speak to the tutor, whether you have never played before, or have dabbled a little already - but numbers in this class are limited, so be early! (Bring your own guitar!) Our exciting sewing course provides the hugely satisfying solution, and more! BERA is offering again our Creative Sewing and Needlecrafts class on Tuesday evenings. The course is for beginners as well as the more experienced - so all-comers welcome! Through different sewing techniques we’ll be teaching you how to recycle your old clothes and textiles, transforming them into items of great style and beauty for your wardrobe and home. (Or if you prefer to make something new, you can do that too!) ZUMBA 'The ZUMBA® program is a Latin-inspired, dance-fitness class that incorporates Latin and international music and dance movements, creating a dynamic, exciting, exhilarating and effective fitness system.' It is a class for dancers and non-dancers.
